Lammermuir Cottage is set amongst a working farm at the foot of the Lammermuir hills approximately 1 mile from the B6368 (Haddington road). These hills provide a haven for wildlife and farm animals offering ample opportunities for bird-watching, walking and cycling. The picturesque village of Gifford (approx 4 miles) provides 2 pubs/restaurants and a local store for stocking up on supplies or taking some well needed refreshment. The ancient market town of Haddington (approx 8 miles) provides additional eating / drinking establishments, a large supermarket and numerous sightseeing attractions. North Berwick is less than 30 mins away for those looking for a lovely coastal town. Or why not head South, into the beautiful Scottish borders countryside where historical houses and beautiful scenery are in abundance. |

East Lothian is a golfer's paradise with 19 courses offering alternatives for all levels. While Musselburgh Links is the oldest surviving golf course in the World, the most famous East Lothian course is Muirfield, home to the Open Championship 14 times since 1892 and last held there in 2002.
